Medical Logistics
Rebuilt an entire medical waste company's operating system from scratch.
Medical waste logistics is operationally complex. Every pickup involves regulatory documentation, container exchanges, route planning, driver workflows, manifests, compliance records, and billing. The company relied on a legacy platform that had become slow, unreliable, and difficult to operate. Instead of patching the old system, the goal became much bigger, digitize the entire business operation into one cohesive platform spanning an Admin Operations Portal, Client Web Portal, and Driver Mobile App.

Scope
Product Design, Web App, Mobile App
A legacy platform that couldn't keep up with the work.
The old system buckled under the weight of daily operations. Every pickup needed documentation, containers tracked, routes planned, and compliance captured. The platform made each of those steps slower instead of easier.
The context
Three roles, one broken tool.
Admins, clients, and drivers all shared a UI that was built for none of them. Spreadsheet chains filled the gaps between screens, and compliance errors piled up because nothing in the tool matched the actual job on the ground.
Stop patching. Rebuild around the work.
We reframed the project from a product overhaul into a full operating system rebuild. Each role, admin, client, driver, needed its own surface, connected through a single shared record of truth.
The shift
One platform, three surfaces.
The Admin Operations Portal runs the business. The Client Web Portal gives healthcare facilities visibility into pickups and manifests. The Driver Mobile App captures the field work. All three sit on the same backbone, so nothing slips between them.
Admin: operations at a glance.
Customers, pickups, compliance, and billing live in dashboards tuned to the operational cadence. What used to take a chain of spreadsheets and follow-ups now sits in one view.
Client: visibility they can trust.
A focused portal where healthcare facilities schedule pickups, track manifests, and pull compliance records on demand. No more phone calls to confirm a container got moved.
Driver: built for the truck.
A mobile app designed for gloved hands and tight timelines. Pickup checkoffs, container scans, manifests, and signatures fit into a flow that keeps stops under a couple of minutes each.
One operating system. Every role on the same page.
Biowaste now runs on one connected platform instead of three disconnected tools. Operations move faster, compliance gaps close earlier, and every stakeholder looks at the same job in real time.
The result
From legacy stack to real operating system.
The rebuild didn't just modernize the UI. It rewired how the business runs. Scheduling, routing, compliance, and billing now share one record, so a pickup logged in the field updates the admin dashboard and the client portal in the same moment.
“The platform finally works the way the business actually runs.”
